Fuji X-E1 and the 18-55 bokeh review

Just thought I would take some shots this morning at take a look at the quality of bokeh on the Fuij X-E1 and the “kit” lens. I makes me laugh to say “kit” lens. This lens is probably better that any Nikon lens I have bought. This 18-55mm is truly stunning. Sharp, great contrast and colour. Looking at the bokeh quality I would say its superb. My best Nikon bokeh lens was the creamy 85mm f/1.8 but this Fuji is even better.

Even at relative small apertures this lens produces really soft out of focus areas. I am very much looking forward to trying the 35mm f/1.4 that is due to touch down out side my front door on Monday. The reviews suggest its even better …. Yummy ….
Here are a few more from today, nothing special in the content but since it was the first sunny day here in about 2weeks it was nice to have to good light and blue sky. I have uploaded some full sized shots so you can zoom in and pixel peep if thats your thing.
