Facebook and Instagram going to rip off photographers legally

Yep. I pretty much knew this was going to happen. Facebook needs to make money and is desperate to find ways of doing so to keep its share holders happy, how will it …. Advertising. And so it begins. Facebook buys Instagram, Instagram changes the rights and can now use YOUR images in advertising, no licensing rights for the original artist. I think 2013 will see photographers rights and copyright diminish even further. It is not a bright future for photographer and creatives when this type of massive exploitation is allowed to take place. Lets all stop feeding these huge online social sites with valuable and commercially valuable images. Lets hope this issue gains some traction and we form a campaign to stop feeding or be financially rewarded for “sharing” our work. More here. Instagram moves to use your content in advertising without compensation http://www.wired.co.uk/news/archive/2012-12/18/instagram-image-rights
