Fuji X-Pro1 and Fuji X-E1 pricing war !!

Well I guess we all new this was going to start to happen and its great news for us consumers again.

Since the launch of the Fuji X Pro 1 and a Fuji X100 owner I have been lusting after the newer Fuji X-Pro1 but the price tag has been rather unpalatable for my budget range. Then Fuji goes and launches the Fuji X-E1 at 40% less equivalent body pricing. Ouch! ok its lost some options urrm the OVF and rear display screen resolution but thats about it. Now here is the dilemma, great the amazing Fuji image quality is now way more accessible to the masses like me that want to upgrade to a none fixed lens system, but what about the stock pile of Fuji X-Pro 1. There must be still in the the supply chain pipelines full of these. Well thank fully I am starting to see the prices falling for the Fuji X pro 1 to similar to that of the Fuji X-E1 but only when being offered with a kit lens. I have found the Fuji X-Pro 1 available with the Fuji 35mm f/1.4 combined kit here for a jaw dropping £1257.99 WOW!! and the new Fuji X-E1 with 35mm f/1.4 combined kit here for £986.99… wonderful eh! So we can now value the difference between the 2 as a mere £289.11 so if you list them you can seen what your paying for or not going to get depending on the model you choose.

  1. Hi Simon,

Thank you for this web site and the time you put into it – it’s good.

I have not decided yet whether to buy the Fuji XE-1 or X-Pro1, but the prices for the kits in your post are superb.
I have never purchased from that website before – have you and do you trust them?
Is it brand new UK stock with Fuji UK warranty?

Please help me if you can because I have been saving up for ages to make this purchase……

    Thanks,

    Howard

    1. Hi Howard, I am glad you enjoy my blog thank you for your support.
I too am waiting to see what will happen to pricing on xpro and xe1.. I have not used the site I have mentioned so I cannot comment on its service or credibility very sorry.
However it is the holiday season I suspect pricing for both camera will be better if you wait a while longer. January will be the best time. I am going to wait just a little longer. We need more recognised online shops to be reducing the xp1 price.
      Good luck with your purchase.
      Regards. Simon
